I thought this original painting was so perfect for the holiday theme this month. Although it’s an abstract work, it features colors from the Bright & Punchy color palette, and the detailed marks remind me of gingerbread house designs. This one was inspired by my Skillshare class, Abstract Watercolor Painting- Making Marks, in case you’d like to create something like this for yourself.

As the year comes to an end, it’s wonderful to reflect on our memories and things we’d like to do differently next year. So I’m including these words of wisdom by Nelson Mandela in the wallpaper design this month to encourage us all to remember what’s really important. “May your choices reflect your hopes, not your fears.“
