HOW: Just follow the simple email instructions the 1st four days and meet me on Zoom Thurs, September 30th at 12pm PDT to paint.

WHAT: 4 cohesive easy watercolor projects that you will love! (Learn more below).

WHO: Perfect for Beginners and Intermediate artists.

What will we be painting?

There are ways you can spin this project, so I’m going to be guiding you through it. The main thing is to keep it simple. You‘ll be surprised how much simplicity will make your work pop!

Here are a couple of quick video expamples, plus some more details about the projects:

We will paint 4 projects that will consist of:

  • 1 Line Painting

  • 1 Resist Painting using a candle to create the effect.

  • 1 Simple Pattern

  • 1 Lettering Piece with a super easy technique that anyone can do.

There will be a workbook page included in the email each day to keep you on track for the workshop. It will include suggestions to help you along the way while we get closer to being ready for the live painting session.

Day 1: Choose your theme and pick a word. Make the word six or seven letters max.

Day 2: Choose your colors. We are keeping it simple with 2-3 colors max.

Day 3: Choose your watercolor paper size. All can be the same or some can be different.

Day 4: Sketch all the projects on watercolor paper. Plus get all your supplies ready for painting day!

Day 5: Join me in on Zoom to paint the projects!

What will you need?

  • At least one medium sized watercolor brush (size 5 or 6). I’ll be also using a small detail brush and a larger flat brush to cover large areas, but it’s not required.

  • 4 sheets of Watercolor paper or Mixed Media paper at least 130lbs.

  • A cup to hold water for rinsing your brushes in between colors, or use a water brush if you have one.

  • A watercolor paint set, I’ll be using the super portable original Viviva Colors paint set.

  • Pencil & Ruler.

  • A candle in a light neutral color for the resist technique.
